Atwater Home Community ResidenceThe Atwater Home Community Residence provides a structured, supportive, chemical free environment for both men and women. Programming includes a holistic approach to recovery including the issue of nicotine addiction. On site “smoke” hours are provided on a limited basis. Referral and assistance towards nicotine cessation are provided. The criteria for admission include ten days of abstinence and method of payment identified. We accept self-pay, insurance, public assistance and will assist with answering financial questions. Referrals may be made through an agency or by directly calling Mr. Jerome Pipenberg at 585-815-1888. A phone screening or personal interview will be set up and a level of determination will be made before admission. Because the average resident is in programming three to six months, accepted applicants are usually placed on a waiting list. Begin the application early in the long term treatment planning. Residential services provide treatment and support for mental, physical, psychological and spiritual healing direct programming or referral. Staffing is provided twenty four hours a day. Three balanced meals are encouraged and nutritional groups are provided through Cornell Cooperative Extension. Supportive LivingThis program provides housing and support for adults in recovery. Both male and female beds are available. Referrals can be made directly by an individual or through an agency. Contact Stephanie Nadolinsi at 585-815-1889 or 585-343-8330, the main office number to set up a screening and level of care determination. The approximate length of stay is three months to two years. We have five locations throughout the community. Counselor support is available, along with limited transportation. There are opportunities for GED/training/college and vocational education through referral. Genesee County residents are eligible for “Work Program” through a collaboration with various Genesee County Departments. |
