What is SafeHomes? SafeHomes offers an opportunity for parents to join together to help provide a safer environment for their children. It does not require a commitment of time or extra effort for already busy families. It is simply a public agreement to follow simple principles that will encourage a safe, healthy lifestyle for young people. The SafeHomes Committee has compiled a directory of parents from Genesee and Orleans County who have signed a pledge and agreed to maintain a drug-free and smoke-free home for their children, as well as any youth that visit their home The directory also provides an opportunity to network with other parents on ways to maintain a drug-free school, neighborhood and community. More than likely, some of these parents are neighbors in your community. Let us know if there’s anything GCASA can do to help build your community into one where our young people don’t feel pressured to make negative choices. For more information, please contact one of our prevention educator at 585-343-1124 (in Genesee County) or at 585-589-0055 (in Orleans County). Click here for a SafeHomes Brochure |
